Plainsea continued its 2026 event participation this month with a presence at two major cybersecurity gatherings in Seattle - the FutureCon CyberSecurity Conference and HDI Seattle - reinforcing the company’s commitment to staying closely connected with the practitioner community and the operational realities organizations face today.
At FutureCon Seattle on 7th of May, Boris was invited to join a select panel of senior cybersecurity leaders and practitioners, including Tony North, Marshall Fryberger, Jake Hammock, Cynthia D., Zabrina McIntyre, and Marc Olesen - voices helping shape conversations around enterprise security, compliance, and risk management.
The discussions focused on some of the most pressing challenges facing security teams today: shrinking detection windows, rapidly expanding attack surfaces, and the growing disconnect between how quickly organizations deploy technology and how quickly they can validate their exposure.
During the event, Boris was also recognized as an Honorary Attendee - a distinction awarded through anonymous peer nominations and insights gathered by the FutureCon registration team. According to the event organizers, the recognition is intended to highlight individuals who stand out for their leadership, contributions, and commitment to cybersecurity excellence. Furthermore, it cannot be applied for or campaigned toward, making it more meaningful than any award within the industry.
The HDI Seattle event on 8th of May provided a complementary perspective, centering on IT service management and the operational realities facing infrastructure and support teams. As cybersecurity and IT operations become more interconnected, these conversations are increasingly critical. Understanding how organizations manage incidents, change processes, and escalation paths is now inseparable from understanding how they detect, respond to, and recover from threats.
Together, the back-to-back events reinforced a belief central to Plainsea’s mission: cybersecurity advances faster when practitioners openly exchange real-world experience - what works, what fails, and what the threat landscape actually looks like from inside modern organizations.
